TYM America plans for banner growth in United States

In five years, the TYM tractor brand has cornered 10% of the tractor market in the United Kingdom, visible on golf clubs to polo grounds, to the weekend homes of the leisure farmer and her husband. Now TYM plans to expand its range of high quality and advanced design tractors, noted for an impressive record of reliability at a competitive price, into the United States. For TYM America, with headquarters nestled near the capital of Pennsylvania, 2006 will be a banner year that includes new models and partnerships.

(Harrisburg PA. . . . December 2005) In England, golf clubs use them, football clubs, known as soccer in the United States, use them, polo grounds use them as well. In a little under 5 years, the tractor manufactured by Tong Yang Moolsan (TYM), one of South Korea’s leading engineering conglomerates, has garnered 10% of the highly competitive market in the United Kingdom.

In 2006, the company is postured to do the same in the United States with plans for new and expanded line of tractors in a variety of colors—very unusual for this work machine. In addition, the growth includes a major partnership with another major American company and confirms TYM’s commitment to bringing the best in its class products to the American markets.

According to Craig Pickles, president of TYM America’s importer American Jawa Limited, the United States market will see the next generation of tractors when it introduces the new K2 line and its accessories and expands the K6 series over the first quarter of 2006. These new machines also signal a major partnership between Caterpillar who will supply the engines in the new models. This is the first deal of its kind for the small tractor market.

INTRODUCING TYM K2 2006
The new K2 models provide coverage on the lower horsepower range, with two models introduced in late 2005 and first quarter 2006, and represent a complete new area for TYM tractors. The models to be introduced first are the T233 and T273 which are 23 hp and 27 hp respectively. Both models are Hydrostatic and are available with side or rear mid- mount mowers and back hoes plus quick detach front loaders. Manual versions of these units will become available in 2006.

INTRODUCING TYM K6 2006
The first TYM tractor series to be introduced to the United States in 2006, the new year will see an expanded line of this next generation of tractors. The K6 series offers tractors of 54.4 and 58.5 hp these units are fitted with Turbo Caterpillar engines and is understood that these new models will be the first tractors of this size to be incorporating engines from this legendary and trusted manufacturer.

INTRODUCING TYM TMF SERIES MOWER 2006
With seven models available, customers choose rear mount between 48”, 60” or 72” rear or side discharge to complement their tractor. New for 2006 is the mid-mount mower that fits the new K2 series.
